Now leaving vicksburg........
I got an apartment in Jackson, it's about 3 miles from where I work, which beats the hell out of driving an hour to work everyday. Just got moved in today, I have most of my stuff except for my bed. Looks like I'll be sleeping on the floor for a while. In other news, a friend of mine from high school is getting out of the navy soon, and he wants to start a band, so hopefully I'll be getting some music off the ground. | | Monday, March 6th, 2006 | | 1:54 am |
Bored.....
Boredom sets in, waiting on the new Anti-Flag album, supposed to be out later this month. Metallica is working on a new album I hear, at least the fans will have something to wipe their ass with when they realize they wasted another 17 bucks. In other news, Vicksburg sucks, is that really news? Oh well, it's the best I have. Not really much going on here, I broke a guitar string on my favorite guitar, guess that means it's going in the corner with the others that are missing strings. I'm down to 1 guitar with enough strings to sufficiently play.....Will our hero be able to write songs with just the one guitar, or will he fall pray to another broken string? Tune in next week for the exciting conclusion... | | Thursday, January 12th, 2006 | | 12:31 am |
Losing a loved one is never easy....
A few weeks ago something happened that changed my life forever. Its never easy when tragedy strikes, but in the back of your mind you always try to be semi-prepared. You go through your life with the illusion that everything will be ok.Nothing bad could ever happen to you, only to those faces on the news, or those names in black print in the obituaries. Well, my peaceful facade was shattered before my eyes. We were on a trip out of town to play some music when it happened. She suddenly became very ill. I don't know exactly what happened, but it happened very fast. I tried to calm her down, to tell her that everything would be ok. I was so scared, but I had to remain in control, had to force myself to be strong, for her sake. She was rapidly declining and I pulled off the road in desperation. I knew I was losing her and fast. There was nothing I could do, I talked to her in her last moments. She died there that night.....I blame myself, for if it wasn't for me, she would have been safe at home. The only thing I can do is keep her memory alive, and honor her the best I can. I am posting a pic of her before the tragedy, for all to see the radiant beauty that she projected. This is a picture of her out in the country, she loved the country so much..... Rest in peace.....may your memory live on in the hearts and souls of us all..... | | Wednesday, January 11th, 2006 | | 10:17 pm |

I agree with Ben Weasel
Posted by Ben weasel on his website: A Karmic Christmas Not that I see any real evidence for this alleged war on Christmas anyway, but to the extent that Christmas language has been homogenized, I can't say I feel too bad for that whiny minority of Christians dragging their bizarre persecution complexes around like a ball and chain. After all, a big part of their complaint is that inoffensive, euphemistic language has made a mockery of the Christmas season. Sheesh, welcome to my world. Inoffensive, euphemistic language has been ruining television and radio for me since I was about eight years old. Until I can watch Goodfellas uncensored on ABC or see the occasional female breast on network TV I'm not likely to get all up in arms about holiday trees and generic presidential greeting cards. I don't know what made these goofs think they could screw around with controlling speech and not have it come around to bite them in the ass, but all I have to say to them is "Happy Holidays." | | Wednesday, December 28th, 2005 | | 8:04 pm |

the cycle continues
April told me to get to work and update my journal. Not much going on in my life, just work and having to deal with the inner workings of a large corporation. The crap that gets fed to people everyday, its pretty incredible. I thought I was gonna be working on computers, but that takes a backseat to up-selling in the good old USA. I hate trying to sell stuff to people, I just tell them the truth and that makes me a lousy salesman. Oh well, I'd rather get fired for being a good person than getting paid to be some all consuming gremlin. Anyway, I may try to make it down there for the show on Jan 1st. Gonna try to write some new music before I come down so hopefully I can Jam that out with everyone. That's all for now, stay tuned for your regular scheduled useless commercialism and propaganda. | | Monday, December 12th, 2005 | | 1:39 am |
Behind the times
Well, April told me about this site, and myspace.com. It seems I am behind the times, the internet is out-running me. I'm listening to Dan's new stuff, this is some of the best stuff I've heard in a long time. I told April that my life is not very exciting, this is gonna be more of a "dead" journal than a live one. Anyway....I had a good time visiting everyone in Blue springs. Hopefully I can get a band going, I'm looking foward to playing some music. Scott is good guitar player, seems like we both like similar stuff. Also, I have some good news, both my cars are now incapacitated--yay. |
